Sliding doors punish door slammer by rolling back open. At least, all the interior pocket doors I’ve experienced. Makes for a good habit correction prpgram
We are moving soon and need to add a wall with a door. I’m considering a sliding door. Do you have any experience regarding their soundproofness?
Sorry, I was never really in a situation to judge soundproofness. They were open when we were boisterous, closed when empty
I’m not who you asked but I’ve worked as a carpenter in the past; both types of doors can be soundproofed, it depends more on the surrounding doorframe/wall and weather the door itself has a solid core (quieter, but more $) or not.
