The song you play to summon that statue is called, “The Elegy of Emptiness.” Make of that what you will.

Picture of the Smiler from Transmetropolitan

Y’all should read Transmetropolitan: It predicted twitter journalism/politics, streaming, the abundance of porn, bubble theory, etc.

      It predicted Jordan Bardella too:

The caption says the RN literally paid a coach to teach him to smile. With taxpayer money of course.

He actually did a market study and realized that his videos with that smile on the thumbnail got more views. Like, a lot more. So he quietly started adding it into every thumbnail. He even went back to old videos are replaced the old thumbnails with ones that had that smile.

As for why that stupid smile makes his videos more popular? No clue. Kids are weird, and he does well in that demographic. So maybe it’s just a meme at this point. But the reason he’s known for that smile is ironically because it makes him more money.

I doubt he’s overthinking his smile, he just isn’t actually smiling. He’s just moving his mouth.

A genuine smile has the muscles around and under the eyes contributing as well.

Look, his eyes don’t smile. So his mouth just does an imitation of a smile he likely did have to train for in front of a mirror.

His smile reminds me of the dead eyes of a “smiley” flight attendant at the end of a long haul.

The fascinating thing about Mr Beast is that the bigger his smile is, the sadder he looks.
