Notice that all the employees there smile and laugh as they work. It’s heartening.

The amount of personal expression allowed is honestly impressive, and I love it. I saw an androgynous person wearing mild BDSM accessories working there and my thoughts were “go you, I’m so glad you’re allowed to be yourself in the workplace.”

Hopefully that kind of stuff can spread and we can get rid of treating workers as soulless drones elsewhere too.

You should message corporate. They would probably like to hear this. If you got enough people to mention it, it will reverse. Their buisness model depends on customers being happy and keeping/renewing their memberships.

Tried that. A few times. Some people agreed with that. Others were really upset by it. And ultimately nothing was done because the policy was instituted after a Karen complained about an employee wearing a rainbow pin.

It is the number one reason I keep coming back all these years. There are employees whose tenure rivals my age.
