Reagan was crazy enough to sit down and work with people like Tip O’Neil (democrat speaker of the house). I can’t imagine any republican doing that now.
I feel like this was mostly because they hadn’t completely solidified the echo chamber yet, if Reagan were president today I dunno if he’d be better or worse

They sit down and work with PACs all the time.
