Sadly, my enameled cast iron pot chipped. It flakes off at the edges of the chip, so not food safe anymore.
This pot is my go to for making spaghetti sauce, stews, etc. I baby it, no metal utensils, silicon or wood only.
It’s had that little crack forever, so I think this is related. I’ve emailed the manufacturer to see if they’ll replace it under their lifetime warranty.
I will miss this pot, it was a Christmas gift from my spouse and I’ve made many good meals with it. It’s weirdly sentimental to me.


Any conversation where men are talking about how to clean pans is a good one as far as I’m concerned. 😆
You don’t hang out in enough professional kitchens. Some of those discussions get questionable until the food safety manager shows back up.
