    I don’t think Johnson has to start it, does he? I think any member can initiate it, and if a couple of Republicans vote with the Democrats, that should be enough to make it pass. Unless he shuts down the House, of course.

      Any member can initiate it, and in fact already have, but it’s up to Johnson to bring it to a vote which he will never do.

      So far, the only House members bringing impeachment articles are Democrats and Democrats do not have the ability to force votes in the House because it’s currently Republican controlled.

      That COULD change in November, but the new House won’t get seated until January, 2027. That will be the soonest we could see impeachment voted on.

      But none of that matters unless the Senate flips as well, we need a 60 vote majority in the Senate to overcome the filibuster and a 67 vote majority to convict and remove Trump, the Democrats aren’t even CLOSE to that.
