Nima beat me to the attribution, so instead I will talk about the symbolism.
I’m not a tarot/fortune telling believer, but I looked up the meaning because the scene looked a bit sad to me, at least with the owl to the right from our perspective.
The 2 of Cups card is usually interpreted as a sign of deep and caring interpersonal relationships. It can be concerning a lover, a close friend, or even one’s relationship to themselves. It’s thought to signify emotional connections, coming to a truce with someone you’re fighting with, or coming to terms with something that’s been wrestling around in your mind.
I was a little unsure about this being AI as well, but I trust Lady Butterfly. I don’t think I’ve noticed her at least intentionally post AI before, so I give her the benefit of the doubt as she’s such a prolific poster.
That said, I will agree that I wish people on Lemmy would make sure we preserve or add attribution to the creator whenever possible. I was very happy to see the comic strip community this week trying to ramp up those efforts. It’s nice to be able to see the creators’ other works, and if they’re making things that make us happy, they at least deserve credit for its creation. We don’t need to get short about it, we can always just ask the OP or look it up ourselves, not saying that was done poorly here, just in general. I’m not the boss of this place, but I would like to see this as somewhere we can be setting examples of nice netiquette still. 😇
Really wish the artist was credited…
Edit: I’m not entirely convinced that this isn’t AIthe artwork is not AI generated.her name is Elizabeth Alba and the art comes from a tarot set from the looks of it

god damn I’m tired of reading the comment “is this AI? i think this is AI.” 😭
Thank you for providing the artist credit that OP neglected to obtain.
And you have to admit, in the age of AI generated slop everywhere, it’s not a bad thing to be skeptical.
honestly? the comments that say words like “AI” and “Slop” are far more prevalent than any actual AI art ive seen.
for every post of actual AI art, there’s a thousand threads of comments going “AI? AI? AI? AI?” like the seagulls in finding nemo.
i am all for the distinction and the attribution of artists and I believe all AI art should be labeled as such. but I’m kind of getting overloaded on the AI paranoia that seems to engulf the entire web.
