There are plenty of great bands playing smaller venues. As for Roger Walters and Radiohead… I’m sure they’ll be fine financially speaking.

Hell yeah, I was coming in to say this.

So many great bands (in my area) coming in for a fraction of the price at a much more intimate setting.

Yeah so many fantastic small bands charging a lot less for tickets and they’re much easier to find now than in the past. My favorite artist right now charged like $40 for tickets to their most recent tour

How about we bring artists to private land, invite people to show up and pay an entry fee, and play? There is no reason we need to relegate ourselves to these corporate venues in megacities.

          Congrats you have invented Coachella

The issue isn’t venue price it’s that demand is much higher than supply. Venues can price gouge you when you go to a concert for a huge artist because they know people will pay. A concert organized on BLM land in the desert will still have to have organizers

Does black lives mattee have a lot of concert orgsnizers?

Obviously though you don’t use government land for concerts that’s crazy, then you have government rules. If there is more demand then there is Supply then you increase the supply, there is no shortage of land to throw concerts on in this country.

And you might say what about the big pop stars, well forget them they fucking suck and we should all hate them.

BLM = bureau of land management = public land. Anyone can use public land for a wide variety of purposes as long as you clean up after yourself including hosting music festivals

When people complain about high concert prices they are mostly talking about tickets for the huge artists

Ha ha, I know, which is to say, I had no idea black lives matter was brought into the Bureau of Land Management. Well good for them.

But working on Federal Land you are still subject to federal agents that have virtually Limitless authority. Given the recent trajectory of the government I would not advise it.
