I’d say, they censor the smallest part you can, with the intent of leaving the meaning more or less intact while minimizing the offense that might be caused. “God ***" doesn’t really mean anything, but " damnit” does.

That system was well set up for power passing to a hereditary successor. The U.S., not so much. Trump has no interest in laying the groundwork for a smooth transition for an eventual successor, because he cares too much about himself.

Democracy can bring you fascists, but autocracy rarely works well for the people at all. The whole point of democracy is that the fucking people being ruled get a say. The moment you say that’s inherently not fit for some group of people, you’re denying them the right to say otherwise for themselves.
