Under federal law, it is a criminal offense to deploy armed federal officers to active voting sites. The Voting Rights Act bans any behavior that intimidates or coerces voters.
Because immigration enforcement has absolutely zero jurisdiction over elections, the presence of agents near voting locations acts as illegal voter intimidation under the law (Section 11(b) of the Voting Rights Act (codified as 52 U.S. Code § 10307(b)) and states enforce strict buffer zones (50-200ft) to keep unauthorized individuals away from polling places. If you see ICE or any unauthorized armed presence near a poll, report it immediately. Go inside and notify the head poll worker or local election officials on site, as they hold the legal authority to remove these people the property. Get photos of their faces if possible.
